At Dakota, the host Cougars dominated the boys meet. Dakota finished first in 10 of 17 events, including four of the five field events, while scoring 163 points. Second-place Chippewa Valley had 89.
Cale Snyder (pole vault), Toluwanimi Adeaghbo (long jump), Brett Droski (discus) and Jason Ribbentrop (shot put) gave the Cougars first-place finishes in field events.
Chase Fedolak won the 1600 and 800 runs and was part of the first-place 3200 relay team for Dakota.
Jeron Kelley in the 100 and Mitchell MacDonald in the 3200 completed the Cougars’ list of individual winners, and Dakota won the 400 relay with a team that included Kelley.
The Cougars will be in action Tuesday at the MAC Red meet at Grosse Pointe South, where they’ll try to add to the dual-meet championship they won earlier this spring.
