Boys
Dakota's Boys opened the season with a victory over Eisenhower 85.5 to 51.5. Making this the 24th consecutive dual meet victory dating back to April of 2013. Leading the Cougars were performances by Jason Ribbentrop who won the Discus while setting the school record (164' 11") and also won the Shot Put (47' 10.5") Freshman Zach Webb won the High Jump (6'0"). Jeron Kelly won the 100m Dash and anchored both winning Sprint relays. Josh VanSlambrouck out kicked Zac Truman of Eisenhower for the win in the 1600m Run. Joe Jaster ran to victory in the 3200m Run. Brandon Michalak won the 300m Hurdles and was also part of the 4x200m Relay.

GIrls
Dakota's Girls started the season with another victory (97-40) over Eisenhower, making it 10 straight vs. the MAC red foe. The girls won all 5 field events, including school record attempts (11-7) in the Pole Vault by Kaylee Koch (11-3). Emily Droski won both the Discus and Long Jump. Freshman Jessica Bennett won both the 400m and 200m Dashes and was 2nd in the 100m Dash.
Liz Gray, Jemma Kelly and Angie Zefi were all part of the winning 4x800 and 4x400m relays. Bella Gowen was the 4th runner on the 4x800m and Majesty Coleman was the anchor leg for the 4x400m . Alexa Hempel won the 300m Hurdles and placed 2nd in the Pole Vault. Girls making the Top 12 lists
